When two greats combine. Sherrin and the Great Southern Football League.

Sherrin is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Great Southern Football League (GSFL). A multi-year partnership that will include all grades as well as the women’s league. The GSFL is a proud and historic football league based on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. This is the first time Sherrin and the GSFL have partnered together and continues the Sherrin focus of establishing a footprint in South Australia, especially at the grassroots level.

GSFL President Grant Levy said “The Great Southern Football League are excited to announce our new 5-year partnership with Sherrin. The Sherrin is renowned to be the best football in the country, so it was important for our Association to use this ball as we hold our competition as one of the best in the State Country Zone.”

Sherrin Sales Director Nathan Collins said “Sherrin are really looking forward to this partnership. This is the first time that Sherrin and the GSFL have been aligned and we’re pleased to be present in this region over the next 5 years as the official game ball for the league.”

The GSFL was established in 1923, celebrating their 100-year anniversary last year. The men’s league consists of 10 teams, with the most decorated being Victor Harbour who have celebrated incredible success with 24 premierships. McLaren are the reigning premiers and will be looking to create history by winning next year’s premiership, the first with a Sherrin as the official ball.

The women’s league consists of 6 clubs with Wilunga capping of a dominate 2023 with only 1 loss on their way to capturing a historic three-peat.
